The purchaser decides what quote, symbols, and designs will be put on the stick.
I have about 5 designs for which folks regularly ask.
Genealogy Walkingstick - This often details a person's family tree, with birthdates, wedding dates, etc. Often made for Grandparents or a new baby.Usually, people will purchase these sticks for another member of their family. I ask them to choose a favorite quotation of the recipient, as well as a list of the full names, birth dates, marriage dates, and a brief biographical description.Each piece should take about a month to complete but could take longer if there are other orders in front of it.
Often, this information will list the recipient, their birthday, their mate's birthday, their wedding day, the names and births of their children, the dates of their children's weddings, and the names and births of grandchildren.
One Quote Walkingstick - This design has one spiral design from top to bottom, which allows for one quote. A personal message can be hidden in the spiral design.
Two Quote Walkingstick - This design has two spiral designs from top to bottom, which allows for two quotes. Some folks have had one quote in Spanish, and the second quote as a translation. Others have used one space for a quote, and the other space for a Genealogy or Work History (for retirement gift).
Flower Walkingstick - This design has about 50 wildflowers on it, which allows for a shorter quote in the middle.
Stained Glass Walkingstick - This design is quite like a jigsaw puzzle or stain glass window; it is very colorful, and it can contain a shorter quote as well.
Segmented Design Walkingstick - This design allows for several sectioned areas. I have burned nautical flags, different Civil War battles, several different leafs from well known trees, etc. This walking stick has limited room for quote and hidden message.
