A number of the walkingsticks and canes I have made for people were Genealogy Sticks.
Usually, people will purchase these sticks for another member of their family. I ask them to choose a favorite quotation of the recipient, as well as a list of the full names, birth dates, marriage dates, and a brief biographical description.
Often, this information will list the recipient, their birthday, their mate's birthday, their wedding day, the names and births of their children, the dates of their children's weddings, and the names and births of grandchildren.
The possibilities are endless.
